My Experience

01 / 03 · 2024–2026
Technical Support Ambassador Conestoga Entrepreneurship Collective Nov 2024 – Mar 2025

Worked the helpdesk at Conestoga's entrepreneurship hub in Kitchener. Mostly tickets, troubleshooting, and figuring out why stuff stopped working. Got pretty good at it.

  • Dealt with 200+ IT support tickets a month, from the moment someone filed them to when the issue was actually fixed
  • Kept a running doc of common problems and fixes so we weren't solving the same thing over and over
  • Did on-site troubleshooting for people across desktops, laptops, and phones (both iOS and Android)

Orientation Volunteer Conestoga Students Inc. (CSI) January 2025

Volunteered during orientation week to help incoming students get settled. A lot of password resets, software installs, and explaining the same thing five different ways to five different people.

  • Helped 100+ new students get their accounts set up and campus software running on Windows and mobile devices
  • Got good at explaining technical stuff to people with very different comfort levels with tech

ConHacks 2026 Conestoga College April 2026

Built Flow at ConHacks 2026 at Conestoga College in around 24 hours. It is a reading tool for students with dyslexia that makes reading a lot less exhausting by highlighting text, adjusting spacing, and reading aloud.

  • Built the whole app in React and TypeScript from scratch during the hackathon
  • Hooked up Gemini API for smart text processing and ElevenLabs for AI-generated voice readback
  • Used PDF.js to add custom PDF rendering with highlighting and annotation
  • Demoed it to judges at the end and it actually worked, which was a relief
